But what of belonging? We are simultaneously tethered to place but that tethering may not erase loneliness. Interesting thoughts! Got to read the book now :)

I actually thought of you a few times when reading the book :)

On being tethered: I suppose tethering is a deeply personal experience on the one hand, occurring along a spectrum. From the nice way of being tethered, to the other not-so-nice end where one feels somewhat shackled? Yet, on the other hand, your comment also made me think about so many other forms of tethering related to systems, including visas and passports and having them/ the lack of them. Instruments of inclusion but so much of exclusion too...
